Day 346 - Tuesday's Trio

A Tuesday Trio challenge means that I will post three items/techniques that must be included on your card. They can be in any amount as long as at least one of each is present on the card.
Today's trio is Scallops - Ribbon - Ink Distressing

Audrey's is gorgeous, of course, check it out:

Is that little boy not the cutest?? And the letters 'c n y' stand for Chinese New Year, coming up this Sunday (thanks for the info Audrey!).
So do you like sketches? Well, if you do, then you're going to LOVE next week's set of challenges. We'll celebrate Seven Sketches Week, since we're going to give you a sketch for every single day of the week. Each member of the Design Team will share her very own sketch, and it's going to be fun, fun, fun!!!

Day 343 - Interacting Images

What fun we've had with The Stamping Boutique celebrating Valentine's Day with a week of *Love-ly* images!!

Remember, if you're playing along, you have until tomorrow night at 11:59 PM EST to get your cards linked up. On Monday's post I will announce a winner at random of 5 digital images from The Stamping Boutique.

So let's talk about today's challenge...

Have you ever used stamped or digi images that were necessarily intended to be used together? Maybe you've cut images from patterned paper (possibly from more than one manufacturer) and found that they work quite well together on the same card.

Well, that's what this challenge is all about: to use 2 separate images and make them interact.

Vicky selected these two images from The Stamping Boutique that you'll recognize from earlier in the week, and look how perfect they are together:

Isn't that adorable?? It seems it was meant to be!
On behalf of The Stamping Boutique, I want to thank you for joining us this week!!

Day 342 - That's Familiar

I've seen cards out there created this way, and the result is very cool....

Put a full image on the outside of your card, and place just a small part of it on the inside of your card.

Here's what Sophie did with hers:

I am such a fan of a two-toned color scheme, Sophie, and you really made it work on this card! And how cute is that image on the inside? So cute!

One more day of The Stamping Boutique Week coming up tomorrow...

Day 341 - Substitution Please

Hi 365ers, I hope you're all having a wonderful day! I am, because it's my birthday and I got a fabulous gift from my mom (who pops in from time to time in the chat box), check it out:

I got this table from IKEA, and it is such a welcome addition to my craft room! I used to sit on the floor to use my Cricut and I used my paper trimmer on my lap because there wasn't enough room on the computer desk!!
Now it's time to move on to today's challenge. I've noticed how common it is to substitute all sorts of scrappy items in place of a blossoms, so it was time to post it as a challenge idea. But this one is very specific in honor of the Valentine theme.
Use a heart shape in place of the blossom on a flower on your card.
Amy is sharing this image from The Stamping Boutique:

Beautiful, and you've done a wonderful job of paper piecing, too, Amy!

There are lots of ways to create hearts - stamping, cutting from patterned paper, creating with rhinestones or pearls, hand drawing, etc. It just requires a little imagination and you'll have a very creative card!

Day 340 - Shape Up!

Surprise, surprise, the dominant shape for this challenge is a ♥ heart ♥ !

If you are new to the Shape Up! challenges, what I'm looking for is the shape to really stand out. So you can create a heart-shaped card, put a large heart on your card, or put lots of hearts on your card - the important thing is to have the heart be the dominant shape.

Kristie, with the help of The Stamping Boutique, definitely made it stand out on her card:

Beautiful colors on this card, Kristie, and I just love this image from The Stamping Boutique.
Now you can give this challenge a try and put some heart into it ;)
