Day 37 - Do-It-Yourself

I like throwing these challenges in, because it's one more reason for us to dip into our stashes instead of running out to the store to buy a matching embellishment. Before I get to the details, let's see who our daily winner is................

Di!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Congrats, you've one these super cool stamps from Scenic Route, which can be found in the April kit. I have been using these like crazy - and I LOVE THEM!!!! They ink up so well and make a nice clean image.

Contact me here with your address and I'll get them sent off to you :)

I am very excited about Scor-it Week, if you couldn't tell from my recent post in the chat box. Starting Sunday, instead of a sketch, I will kick off the week with a scoring challenge, and each day the rest of the DT will bring you their take on a challenge, along with a tutorial on their blogs. We'll also be blogging about the very popular Scor-it Board and Scor-it Mini. Don't worry, though, you don't need anything other than a simple scoring tool (a bone folder or stylus will do)to participate. So let's have another contest, shall we?

Mention Scor-it Week on your blog, and leave us a comment here along with a link to your post in the comment section, and your name will be thrown into a random drawing for a prize ;)

Wow, I'm having a great time giving stuff away. I've won a few things myself from time-to-time, and it's always exciting to get a new product to try.

Back to today's challenge. I want you to dress up some chipboard and add it to your card. Plain chipboard is great to have around because you can paint it, glitter it, adhere paper to it - so many possibilities. It can be a little extra work, but if you have some on hand, you can make it match any project. Let's see what Gloria came up with:

That little chipboard star is the perfect touch for this card, and makes great use of the patterned paper that's already on the card.
Don't have pre-cut chipboard? Anything similar will do - and you can cut it down yourself the way you would paper. We can't wait to see what you come up with for this~

I keep forgetting to post about the Score-It choh! Maybe next time.

Anyway, I'm catching up, I've just got today (Day 42) card to make, then for the first time I'll have done a whole week (assuming it runs Sunday to Saturday), but the Dr Who easter special starts in about 10mins, so Day 42 might not happen til tomorrow...

I finally got around to posting for this challenge. When using chipboard lately, I have 'dressed it up' a bit, but with this one, I didn't as it coordinated already.
