Day 69 - Glad for the Grad

So here in the US, many students will start participating in commencement ceremonies. Not only high school and college students, but various other sorts of graduations take place.

DT member Sophie created today's card example, and she reminded me that in France there isn't a traditional graduation ceremony as we have here. However, I suspect that there is something similar wherever you are, and it would be nice to have a card made for such an occasion.

Sooooooo, create a graduation card for today's challenge. If you do something different where you're from, we'd love to hear all about it!

Here is Sophie's card:

Nice Sophie, this would make a great masculine card!

By the way, if you haven't had a chance to check out a post by Maz yesterday, take a look at it here. She talks about a wonderful organization called Post Pals in the UK that invites people to send cards to seriously ill children. A wonderful idea, indeed, and I think it would be great to start a list in the sidebar of other such organizations, should any of us wish to participate. If you know of any, please share that info with us. Thanks, Maz!

Thanks for that Pam, I know there must be other organizations out there and plenty of children and families who would appreciate the time taken to send something to make their day just a little bit brighter.

I belong to a card making forum and we have supported Post Pals for a number of years.

I have been very fortunate to received some lovely letters back from a few of the children and it was a wonderful experience to know you had given them some happiness.

Great and worthy cause. :)

My little brother is graduating from HS in a couple of weeks, so this was really perfect for the occasion, but a super challenge for me! I was really stumped with this one!

Wonderful cards, ladies.
There will be no card from me today. My little son is very ill, so I can not do anything except to take care him.

I couldn't think of anyone graduating - until I remembered that my youngest son will be graduating from 8th grade next month - they do a big ceremony and all too. So, this fit right in. Thanks for the challenge.
I also contribute cards to Cards For Heroes - the link is on my site.
