Day 251 - Dream Duo

When you scrap, what are your two favorite colors to work with? Those are the two that I challenge you to work with, and try to stick to shades of only those two colors.

Sophie prefers to work with white and kraft paper (which is typically brown in color). Here is her card:

This is such an elegant card, Sophie! I know this might be tough, and will rule out a lot of patterned papers, but the end result can be really beautiful.

By the way, I worry that some of you aren't playing along because you think you must complete the challenges on their given days. When we have sponsored challenges, I will specify a time limit and I always list the rules at the start of a sponsored week. If you want your card/s to be considered for a Top Trio spot, or you want to complete all the challenges and be a part of the Weekly Challenge All-Stars, you have until the end of each week to get your cards posted (I will count any that are posted by Sunday for the previous week). Also, to be a part of the Weekly All-Stars, you must submit one card for each challenge. If you double up on 365 Cards challenges, it will only be counted as one submission. If you ever have questions about this, just email me (my address is over in the side bar), because I never mind answering :) We are thrilled to have everyone participate.

I've heard through the blogging grapevine that some people are disappointed about not being part of the Top Trio, and I just want you to know how we arrive at the decision. It's not just about being the prettiest cards, because then we could never narrow it down. We look for things that catch our eyes - clever ideas to inspire us all. Occasionally there's one that's just too beautiful not to acknowledge. I assure you, I've submitted A LOT of cards on challenge sites and rarely receive special recognition, and I'm ok with that because I love joining in while learning from and sharing with other card makers. My main goal here at 365 Cards is to encourage and support card makers of all skill levels to challenge themselves with a new idea every day. And thanks to all of you for helping to make that happen!!!

Thanks for the belated inclusion in the 'all done for October' :)
After all the blood, sweat and tears it's nice to see my name there, not worried about prizes or anything, just to see my name is nice.....at my age, anything is nice LOL!!! Struggling at the moment with a couple this week but they are in progress, so to speak. You do a great job Pam and without you and the great DT I don't know how my grey matter would still be functioning, these challenges are amazing and I love them to bits. So glad I found you You go girl!!!

Pam you and the DT are fantastic and FUN!! and you haven't scared me off yet! LOL personialy i do this for the fun and learning and of course the friendships. as far as the COTW and prizes they are nice but if my husband likes my cards that is the best reward and prize to me. :0)
And i am with Jenny....you keep my brain matter working (which is hard at my age!) and the 88 year old woman i take care of LOVES seeing all the cards and hearing what the challenge you gave for each card! :0)

I love your challenges and all the inspiration given both by DT and the other participants. I will never be able make all the week's cards so I simply play the days I can. And I think you do an excellent job picking the top 3, it's always fun to see what has cought your eyes! Thanks for al the work!

Wow...I love everything about this site - it is very inspirational and challenging and I would never want to have to pick the "trio of the week"! I don't always have time to create the cards and play along BUT I do make a point to stop by everyday and have a look at what is going on! I have learned so much from everyone who posts - how to play along & how to break the rules! (lol)
This has to be tough for you on a daily basis - keep up the great challenges!

The card is very lovely! Great color choice and embellishments.
I took a look at the blog today and made my first card for it. I can't believe you have a challenge every day! Wow! I'll keep checking back and play when I can.

Pam, you and the DT are doing a wonderful job. I like that you took the time to explain your process to others and how they can be acknowledged. I hope everyone understands it. I love this blog because you do something daily. :) I don't always join in because sometimes the brain just doesn't work well. Your DT always comes up with something great to inspire me. Like you, I enjoy the challenges because of the different techniques others use and how I've grown - the prize is nice but mostly, I am constantly learning how to improve myself and for me, that's what counts most. Besides, aren't we all winners in one way or another? ;p

Well all I can say is Ditto, ditto, ditto. You do a great job as hostess and I just love this challenge, I just think it is sooo fun "playing" if my card is chosed, yippee!! but if not yipppeee! I had fun and learned something new. This is a blast and there is no place for sour grapes when you play with others, or wining (get it)

Love this challenge, but I love all colour so must go and think, ouch!

I love seeing the wonderful response to this blog. I have such fun looking at all the cards and making comments and teaching people how to break the rules...oh wait, did I say that last part outloud?!

This is such a fun DT to be on. Pam challenges me like you would not believe. It's pretty rare for me to see a challenge and go "Yipee"! Most of the time I say "oh no the woman is torturing me!" LOL But I have to say I've made some great cards out of these challenges. I feel blessed to be on the team and to "meet" all you wonderful ladies! I've made some wonderful cyber pals thru this blog...and I have room for lots more!

Keep up the good work, Pam! We all love ya!

Hi, Pam!
I think 365 Cards is great! The challenges that you come up with definitely make me put on my thinking cap each day! Participating in these challenges has improved my card-making by encouraging me to try different techniques or use products that I normally wouldn't. You, the DT and all the participants are so inspirational!
(Due to an unfortunate family issue this past week, I haven't had a chance to make any cards. I am looking forward to jumping back in next week!)

Yay, thank you for reminding me how much I love to work with brown & blue! :)

Uhh, I read this post again, and apparently I omitted before the part that I should stick to the shades of two chosen colours only. I used one more colour (cream), so please ignore my entry if you please. I'm sorry for inconvenience. :)
