Here is one to kick off the week. I hope it inspires lots of creativity:

Day 182 - Sporty Saturday
The specifics: Use a ball on your card - baseball, soccer, basketball, tennis, golf, or volleyball.
Don't have a stamp, sticker, or patterned paper to use? You can always make one ;)
Here is Vicky's card:
Very nicely done, Vicky!
Have fun with this one and I'll see you back here tomorrow for another sketch :)

Specifically, I want to see a vintage image on your card. Let's see Amy's card:
One of these days, I'm going to give it a try -- this card totally inspires me to do it, thanks, Amy!

Day 179 - Checkerboard Background
Do not confuse this with gingham which has a similar appearance but is something different altogether.
Here is Kristie's card:

Very cool!
So.........starting September 6th, we have a new sponsor: Sassy Studio Designs. The DT and I will be featuring images created by owner Lindsay Dyer, and we can't wait to share those with you. So mark your calendars for another fun sponsored week!

Day 178 - Back to School
So it seems appropriate to have a card with a Back to School theme - that's it, anything goes as long as it's inspired by the theme!
Let's take a look at Tammy's fab creation:
A+++++ for this gorgeous card, Tammy! Thanks for the inspiration :)
Who else is getting ready for another school year?

Day 177 - Monogram Monday
1)An - For a cute and clever card that pulled "double duty" beautifully.
2)Lori - For a wonderfully artistic card with alphas and numbers.
3)Pamela - For a terrific Tuesday Trio card.
Congrats and please grab the COTW blinkie for your blogs :)
And let's not forget the Weekly Challenge All-Stars:
Chrissie, Celeste, Tasia D., Rose Miller, Jenny S., Beckynoelle, Linda B., SAM, Rebecca, Patti J., Pamela S. Wade, and Ella
Way to go, Everyone!
And for now for today's challenge....
I've seen this done many times before, and felt that with its popularity, it should be included among the 365 challenges. So all you have to do is include a monogram of some sort on your card. Now, I did a little research on what monograms are because I've seen such a variety, and I wasn't sure of what technically qualifies as one. So we'll use the term loosely and say that an initial or set of initials qualifies, how does that sound?
Gloria's is nicely done, and here it is:
Beautiful color choices, Gloria!
So, no need to Google it, just include a monogram on your card ;)

Day 175 - Stampin' Saturday
Here is what Vicky did with the challenge:
Isn't that beautiful? You really have a lot of freedom with this challenge, and I think you'll have a lot of fun with it, too :)

Day 174 - Just Peachy
It's such a soft and pretty color - perfect for the theme of Sophie's card:
Absolutely precious, Sophie!
You'll want to mark your calendars for September 6th-15th for a super fun sponsored week, and you can expect more details soon :)

Day 173 - Mixed Message
How about a close-up of that sentiment?
Wednesday, August 19, 2009
Day 172 - ABC's and 123's
The details: Create a card with alphabet stickers and include at least one number. Don't have alpha stickers? If you have a stamp set with individual letters and numbers, that qualifies as well.
Here's Kristie's cool card:
What 5 year-old wouldn't like this? It's stellar, thanks Kristie!

Day 171 - Tuesday's Trio
1) Chupa - for a bee-autiful adaptation of the sketch.
2) Rieca - for a glittery "gift" card that went above and beyond.
3)Cheryl - for blowing us away with the toile stunner.
Congrats ladies - you are welcome to add the COTW blinkie to your blogs!
Here are your Weekly Challenge All-Stars:
I "believe" that I love this card, Tammy!
Thank you all for your contributions to Art Glitter Week - I was incredibly inspired by all the creativity and talent out there.
We have yet another sponsored week coming up in September, so you can expect to get all the details on that in a couple of weeks. For now, let's keep scrapping :)

Day 170 - Double Duty
Today's challenge is called Double Duty because I want you to make a card that doubles as something else.... examples would be a bookmark, a place card, or some sort of pocket card. HOWEVER - NO GIFT CARD HOLDERS OR MONEY HOLDERS!
I just know you want to see what Gloria came up with for this one, and it's fantastic:

Day 168 - Touch of Toile
And a stunning card it is, Vicky!! So that's the challenge: use toile as the background pattern. This is the last day of Art Glitter week :( It's been tons of fun, but I do have one little piece of good news... How about an extra day to get those cards done for the week? To qualify for the prize, Top Trio, and Weekly Challenge All-Stars, you need to complete your cards for this week by 11:59 PM EST on Sunday, August 16th.
Alright then, get back to those cards~

Day 167 - "Gift" Card
Day 166 - Card Recipe
Ingredients -
4x7 card
5 blossoms
glitter
wet embossed sentiment
3 different patterned papers
Here is Amy's card:
Can you see the glitter? It is the perfect finishing touch for this card - thanks, Amy! Tomorrow I will share a picture of the prize :)
Wednesday, August 12, 2009
Day 165 - Shape Up!
Just a reminder that although we are featuring glitter on our cards, yours do not have to include glitter to qualify for a prize or acknowledgment :)
Today's challenge is about another shape - a STAR - make that the dominant shape on your card. That means that you don't have to create a star-shaped card, but the star shape should really stand out on your card, whether it's that pattern in the paper, or a giant shape on your card.
Kristie's is definitely dominant, and full of glittery goodness - check it out:
We may be more than halfway through the week, but the fun is not over yet!
