Day 43 - White Space

As you probably read above, this is the last stop on the hop! If you are new to 365 Cards, let me just tell you a bit about this blog:

We issue a new card challenge every day of the year!! One of my favorite challenges to post is the White Space challenge. I provide a sketch that indicates the "white" area that needs to be left free of decoration. Of course, there are ways around this, but the general idea is to keep your card simple. Every day this week, I will share a different white space sketch to challenge you. First up this week is Gloria, who got to use this sketch:

Now, if you don't already know, Gloria is a rebel and she likes to shake things up a bit. Here is her take on the challenge:

Well Gloria, even though you filled the white space with this rabbit, it is still beautifully simple and I love it!

So how can you win a prize this week at 365 Cards? You can comment on any of the posts this week by sharing with us what you think about White Space challenges. A winner will be drawn at random at the end of the week.

I will also offer another prize just for participating this week. You will earn 1 chance for every white space challenge you enter this week. At the end of the week, a winner will be drawn at random.

Now I will finally get around to the Top Trio for last week's challenges. Each week, the DT and I select three cards that really stood out for their beauty, creativity, or maybe a clever idea. Here are 3 of our favorite cards from last week:

1) Barb Housner - For this pretty in pink beauty.
2) Manoli Navarro - For this big beautiful glittery blossom.
3) Margie - For creating this fabulous Friday Five card.

Over on the sidebar we have a special blinkie for Card of the Week, and you three are welcome to grab it and add it to your blogs!

Each week we also acknowledge the amazing and talented cardmakers who are able to complete every challenge for the week (Sunday-Saturday) by the end of the week. With all our busy lives that is no easy task, but this group of individuals managed it:

Gail, Linda B., Debbi F., Heather B., Margie, Melissa B., Jammie, Studio Sara, Kim O'Rear, and Lee Ann

If I missed your name and it should be up here, please let me know! And well done to all of you who complete all 7 challenges from last week!!

Thanks for joining us at 365 Cards this week, and come back every day for another white space challenge...

Your blog is great, I keep coming back for inspiration! Just a suggestion
Have you tried Inlinkz (www.inlinkz.com) instead of Mr.Linky? It's better, stable, totally free, more customizable and even supports thumbnails! you can see a working example on http://embellishmagazine.com/blog/

wow, a new sketch everyday? that's awesome. Now that I've hopped to all the stops and sketched down all of my assignments for the week I better hop over to the scrap table and get busy. I'm excited about the cards, I've only made one or two, I usually stick to 12x12 lo's.

What a clever idea to make the 'white space' an empty frame for the image!
