Day 169 - A Certain Sentiment

Okay, get ready for a looooooooooong post....
We have a winner from Sweet 'n Sassy Stamps Week. Congrats to
Vanessa Glass!!!!
Please contact me here so we can arrange for you to receive your prize.
Here's your Top Trio from last week:
1) Erin T - for this beautiful ad inspired card.
2) Jan - For truly capturing the look of her blog in this gorgeous card.
3) Steph - for this lovely and very artistic ATC.

Congrats to you all - you are welcome to grab the Card of the Week blinkie from the sidebar!

And your Weekly Challenge All-Star:
Studio Sara

Well done Sara - if I missed anyone, please let me know!!

Now on to new business...
First I will start off by sharing today's challenge, and last I will tell you all about a fabulous prize giveaway that we get to be a part of.

The challenge is called "A Certain Sentiment" because I provide a sentiment, and you incorporate it in your card. The card design is up to you as long as you include the sentiment.

The sentiment is "A Little Birdie Told Me"
And Gloria is back to share her take on the challenge this week -YAY!!!! We sure missed you Gloria!

Here is the front of the card with the required portion of the sentiment:

And this is rest of the sentiment:

Gloria's sentiment is computer-generated, and I'm really liking that font! And there's that charming birdie image from Robyn's Fetish Digital Stamps looking so cute!!

So now I'm going to share news about a very cool giveaway that 365 Cards is joining in. Rachelle Christensen is hosting a giveaway for a brand spankin' new WorkBox from The Original Scrapbox on her blog. There are lots of details on how to enter (and you can earn many entries various ways), but one way is right here at 365 Cards.

First, head over to The Original Scrapbox site , check out the products, then come back here and leave a comment telling me what your favorite item is. I will pick one person at random (using to win a Giant Cutting Board (retail value $39.95) and that person will also earn an entry into the contest to win the WorkBox. There are several blogs participating, and you can find out how to earn additional entries by visiting those blogs. For complete details and a list of those blogs, you can visit the giveaway page I created, or just click on the corresponding link at the top of this page.

***We would love to have you participate in any of our challenges at 365 Cards, but it is not a requirement to win the Giant Cutting Board prize. Participation in our challenges earns you entries to win the prize from our weekly sponsor, Robyn's Fetish Digital Stamps, which is a separate contest.***

Congrats to the Top Trio gals! :) It feels good to be stamping again (I was teaching and traveling for the month of July and first part of August, so this was my first chance).

I love the cubbies in the Scrapbox! I wish my stamp sets and supplies looked neater when they were lined up on a shelf (esp. the wood-mounted ones). The Scrapbox would be such a neat and tidy way to close it all up! The added bonus would be that no little hands could get into stuff, too!

Bravo! They're beautiful!

:) Sara

The workbox, wow, that is beautiful. I was just thinking how wonderful that would be for an older woman living in a mother/in/law apartment or retirement community. So often older women have to leave so much behind when life changes, and I can imagine that losing your hobbies would be such a wrench. What an amazing gift this would be for such a woman, a way to keep her involved and creative.

My favorite item is hands down the The WorkBox Raised Panel in black. It would go great in my living room. I actually saw a picture of something like this years ago but this one is much improved on. If I had the money I would buy it in a heartbeat. Unfortunately, the only way I'll EVER get it is to win it! I really need it too since I don't have a scraproom and have to store all of my stuff in my closet.

I like the Minibox because it is small and looks like it can hold a LOT of stuff. I don't have a lot of space, nor do I have very many supplies right now, so that would be perfect for me to put my stamps, ribbons, etc. into. Maybe one day I will be able to get that BIG box!!
