Day 337 - Super Sketchy Sunday

This week we'll be featuring images from The Stamping Boutique with a Valentine theme. We sure had fun working with these adorable digital stamps, as you'll see in the coming days! As the week goes on I'll tell you more about this wonderful shop and the prize up for grabs.

Day 336 - The 3 S's

The letter of the day is 'S', and our 3 S's will be...

Stripes, Square, Spring

Hmmm....there's no color there....this may be the easiest one yet ;)

Day 335 - The 3 D's

And the 3 D's Are...

Dark Brown, Diamond, and Distressing

Here is Sophie's card:

I love this color scheme and the way the dark brown pops on this card, Sophie!!

You can have one or several diamonds, and distress some paper on your card as much or as little as you wish. Sophie has distressed the edges of the patterned paper, which works beautifully with the distressed look of the paper itself!

Starting Sunday, the DT will bring you cards using digi images from The Stamping Boutique to kick off another fun sponsored week...

Day 334 - The 3 B's

Amy's up today with the letter of the day, which is 'B'.

So here are the 3 B's:

Blue, Blossom, and emBoss

Okay, so I had to stretch it a little on emboss....

Here's is Amy's take on the challenge:

Wow - that's not just any old blossom, is it - totally gorgeous, Amy!!

I think these three elements allow for a lot of creativity since they are not too specific.

Day 333 - The 3 G's

The letter for today is G, and the three G's are:

Day 332 - The 3 R's

Ready for another set of 3?

Here are the 3 R's: Red, Rhinestone, and Rick Rack

There should be red on your card, at least one rhinestone and some rick rack. Audrey hit us with another stunner, check it out:

Even though I've gotten specific on those elements that you must include on your card, you can still there lots of room for creativity!

Day 331 - The 3 P's

So all week we're presenting challenges inspired by the old saying "the 3 R's - Reading, Writing, and Arithmetic" - and don't worry, this has nothing to do with school! I just thought I'd present everything in 3's along with a common letter.

And so, today it will be 'P' - as in Pink, Paisley, and Princess

So very pretty, Gloria!

There is some room for interpretation on this challenge. Of course I would like to see pink on this card, and also a paisley pattern, but how much of either and in what forms they come are up to you. As for the princess part - it can be the theme, a picture of a princess, or the word...really, that's up to you as well.

Have fun with it - we can't wait to see what you come up with!

I know we've got some new people jumping in here, so I just want to remind you of how we do things here at 365 Cards. You can participate and link up on any challenge from Day 1. However, if you do link up for challenges from previous weeks, let us know over in the chat box so we know to check out your card. If you want to go for a prize (during a sponsored week) or the Top Trio (during the current week), then you must submit your card during that particular week. If you complete all the challenges during a week (Sunday-Saturday), you will be acknowledged as a Weekly Challenge All-Star. However, you don't have to complete all the challenges to play along with us.

If you are new to the blog in general - we WILL continue after March 1st with another 365 challenges. So there's lots of fun to be had!!!

Day 329 - Pretty Postcard

Have you seen a card style or technique out there about which you've thought, "I want to try that!"?

Well, for me it's definitely a postcard. Anything from a simple photograph to something with patterned paper and maybe some stamping. So of course I had to turn this into a challenge...

Vicky really knocked this one out of the park. Here is hers front and back:

Isn't that gorgeous? If you're creating a postcard that you actually plan to send through the mail, then you'll want to keep it simple. Otherwise, anything goes for this challenge!

I've got some fun challenges planned for next week, and then we move right into another sponsored week...

Day 328 - I'm a Frayed Knot

The title for this one is also the punchline of an old joke, but it works great as a card challenge, too!

You need to take a piece of ribbon, tie it into a knot (a bow counts) and fray the ends. You can also use any other material that frays easily.

Check out Sophie's:

I really like the effect that this creates - and that's some beautiful ribbon you've chosen, Sophie! I don't know about you, but after tying bows using ribbon, the ends often fray a bit and I have to trim them up. Seeing how nice this looks, I think it would be fun to urge the fraying along and then the look is intentional.

No need to tell a joke, just give us a frayed knot ;)

Day 327 - Rhyme Time

The challenge is simple: The words in your sentiment have to rhyme; therefore you must have at least 2 words in your sentiment. Having two words counts as long as they rhyme.

That is soooooooooo clever, Amy, I just love it!

If you don't have a sentiment stamp that rhymes, you can always type one up on the computer, use alpha stickers, or even handwrite it :)

Day 326 - Card Recipe

These are always fun aren't they? Okay, well they're challenging, at least :)

Here are the ingredients:

4.25x5.5 card
4x4 piece of patterned paper
2x2 piece of patterned paper
3 buttons
1 ribbon

Day 325 - Imagine This: Chocolate

I confess, I am completely in love with chocolate. So I thought it would make a great Imagine This challenge.

I guess it must be my recent trip to Disney World, because I chose the song A Dream is a Wish Your Heart Makes, from the Cinderella movie for this challenge. Plus, it's just a feel good song, which I was in the mood for. First, here's Gloria's card:

I just love the softness of this card - and it is clearly inspired by the song!

So, to inspire you, here are the words to the song:

Day 322 - Girls' Night Out

Whew...I am officially sitting in front of my own computer again! This means I shouldn't be messing up the day #'s as I have been over the past week. I'm sorry if I caused some confusion...it confused me, too :)

Not only have I reached the end of my vacation, but we have also reached the end of In Style Stamps Week, and it's been a blast! But before we call it officially over, let's have one more challenge.

At least once I month I get together with a bunch of girlfriends and we go out for dinner or play Bunco, and it's just the ladies...So I thought this would be a great challenge, because I'm not alone out there.

The theme for this challenge is Girls' Night Out, and it doesn't have to be an invitation per se, but your card should be inspired by this theme.

I love this card, Vicky, it definitely makes me look forward to my next night out with the ladies!! And that image from ISS is perfect on this card!

Day 321 - In Stitches

Now I know we've had a stitching challenge before, but this one will likely prove to be a bit more challenging...

The challenge is to stitch on an image to create texture. The image can come from a stamp or patterned paper. It doesn't count if you use something that is already stitched ;)

Day 320 - Tea for Two

Well think of this one as a themed challenge, and the theme is Tea Party!

The card doesn't have to be about a tea party, but simply inspired by the theme.

Day 319 - Teen Scene

Are you enjoying In Style Stamps Week? I've got to say that I just LOVE these images. They are so fun to work with and they are great for coloring in and printing off on patterned paper.

Day 317 - Crazy Eight

Let me start with an apology...

I am currently in the Eastern Time Zone, but I normally do my posts in Pacific Time, so I can get them done fairly early in the evening. Well, after walking in the Disney parks all day, I don't think I can stay up until midnight, which means the Top Trio and WCAS will have to wait until tomorrow's post. To be fair, I want to be sure that everyone who is posting for last week has had the opportunity to submit their cards in the time allowed.

One thing you can count on is another challenge for today!

It's called Crazy Eight because I challenge you to use EIGHT different colors on your card - and different shades of the same few colors does not count. One thing that does count is the coloring in of an image. And that's just what Gloria did with this beautiful butterfly image from In Style Stamps:

I love that you used a black and white background with this Gloria, it really sets off that butterfly and its many colors!
