Day 122 - Shades of Blue

Hmmmm - are you seeing a pattern here? Let's see at least 3 shades of blue please!

Kim did a fabulous job incorporating her blue shades as water to tie in beautifully with the hula dancers image from Digi Kitty:

Ahhh - this makes me think of the sand and surf...

Day 121 - Shades of Red

I just love the color red, and I love Audrey's shades of this color:

So you know what to do - just make a card with any three shades of red (or more!) and you've met the requirements for the challenge.

Day 118 - Ransom Note

Don't worry - you don't actually have to create a ransom note! But I do challenge you to find your sentiment using letters cut out of newspapers, magazines, etc.

The challenge is kind of silly, and a little bit fun - so give it a try!

Day 117 - Favorite 5

Now this one will probably easy, because they are all about your favorite things....

Answer these questions by using these 5 things:

1) Favorite color

2) Favorite embellishment

3) Favorite sentiment

4) Favorite card shape and or/size

5) Favorite tool

You can use more on your card than those things that apply to the above list, as long as those items are on your card, too.

Day 116 - Cut 3 Ways

The challenge is called Cut 3 Ways, and here are the details:

Use 3 different methods for cutting or trimming elements of your card. You can use special cutting tools, a handheld blade, tearing of paper - Any 3 ways that you can think of.

Day 115 - Imagine This: Bedtime

Every now and then, I like to throw in an "Imagine This" challenge, where you are inspired by something you typically find (or in this case experience) in your daily life.

This challenge is all about "Bedtime".

All you have to do is think about bedtime, and design a card to fit the theme.

Day 111 - Stunning Silhouette...With a Twist

This was one of my favorite challenges - so many great cards were shared by everyone who participated in it.

The challenge was to create a silhouette on your card...but, you know there has to be a twist:

Make your card in black and white

Day 110 - 'Love' is in the Air...With a Twist

Sophie chose a challenge from last June that requires a wedding theme.

The original challenge was to create a wedding card with the word 'love' on it. Sounds pretty easy, so let's give it a twist:

Keep it "non-traditional" - very little white, no cake, dress, or ring, or the typical symbols that are found on a wedding card.

Sophie, I just "love" this card (and the sticker, too!) - with it's gorgeous background pattern and the color combo, who wouldn't enjoy receiving this?

Day 109 - Stripes and Bold Colors...With a Twist

First thing I want to do on this post is wish my beautiful mom a very HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!! I am so pleased to be able to give her a big hug and help her celebrate with our family today!

The first part of the challenge is fairly self-explanatory, I think...but of course, there is the twist...

You'll need to have Stripes and Bold Colors, but the twist is that you can only have 4 colors!

Once again the sentiment is made up of SRM Stickers, and they tie in beautifully with this card. Wouldn't you LOVE to win some of those fabulous stickers as a prize? Well, there's a chance, and all you have to do is join in this week for up to 7 chances to win that prize :)

Day 108 - Sing-Along...With a Twist

The challenge was originally titled "Sing-Along Saturday" and you were to draw inspiration from the song Rainbow Connection.

Here are the lyrics:

Why are there so many songs about rainbows

And rainbows have nothing to hide.
So we've been told and some choose to believe it

There have been several versions of this song, but Kermit the Frog is the singer that sticks in my mind the most. So it's definitely fitting that Kim included a frog on her card.

Day 107 - That Special Guy...With a Twist

Audrey chose a challenge that I had originally created in honor of Father's Day, which is coming up at the end of the week. So it definitely works now. The original challenge was to use an argyle pattern and create a card for a special man in your life. It can be your father, husband, brother, friend - any special guy, and it doesn't have to be a Father's Day card specifically.

But, I did promise a twist didn't I?

So here it is - make the argyle pattern a piece of "fabric" on your card. I was thinking maybe a piece of clothing on a stamped image or something, but Audrey was quite clever with her example:

The sentiment, inside and out, is made up of SRM stickers - I tell ya, I just love 'em!

Gloria chose a challenge originally titled "Fun with Fabric" -- so I added this:

Stamp an image on patterned fabric and incorporate it into your card.

So that's the challenge - pull out that patterned fabric, and get stamping!!

Day 104 - Life's a Party

And so is your card! Well, sort of...

The challenge is to use the word 'party' somewhere on your card.

Day 103 - Peek a boo

The challenge for today is to cut out part of an image so that the color and/or pattern on the inside acts as part of the image. It's a cool effect when you see the finished product, so let's give it a try.

Sophie used a cake image from the Birthday Fun set, and this is what she came up with:

This is a beautiful card and I love the colors and patterns! It's definitely a challenge (I know because I've tried it myself), but it's worth the end result.

Wow, I can't believe this week is coming to an end tomorrow -- it just flew by!

Day 102 - Repetition is the Key

...okay, so maybe that only matters when you are trying to memorize something. However, it can also be used on your card to really get that message across ;)

So let's do this: Use a word and an image at least 3 times on your card.

Day 101 - Inchie x 10

We've already had a challenge to make an inchie - but that was a single inchie. Now I challenge you to put TEN inchies on your card!

So many adorable critters from the Cute Critters set all on one card - love it!

So let's see LOTS of inchies on your card. Do you have enough room on your card for more than 10? Put as many as you want on your card, as long as you've got at least 10...

Day 100 - All Lined Up

Today's challenge is to get things lined up in rows. In fact, everything from the embellishments to the sentiment should be lined up, and you'll need to have at least THREE items in each line that you create.
