Day 122 - Feeling Fuzzy

I love cards that have a little added texture to them - just that little something that makes them extra special.

This challenge is about giving some element of your card a "fuzzy" feel to it.  Just a little bit (or a lot, if you prefer!), and you can use Hannah's wonderful example to inspire your card.

Such a darling giraffe and the fuzziness of the flocking she added is just the right touch and here's a close up look

So for this challenge, you can add anything with a fuzzy feel to your card in any amount that you wish; whether it's to an image or just a decoration on your card.

Day 121 - Spinner Card

I honestly cannot believe I never thought to throw this challenge out there sooner, because I've seen this card style out there in the bloggy world before and thought how fun it would be to try one at 365 Cards.

Well, finally it's time to try a Spinner Card.  Have you seen these things?  So cool, and of course Kim took this challenge and knocked it out of the park, check it out

How fantastic is that?? 

If you're looking for a tutorial, all you have to do is Google it and you'll get some great ones.  If you have a good tutorial to share, please do.

If you've never done one of these before, I hope you'll give it a try and share with us whatever you come up with!  And a great big thanks to Kim for making the effort to give us this wonderful example.

Day 120 - Beautiful Blue Ribbon

Wonderful cards for last week's challenges!  I especially enjoyed looking at the "Fan-tastic" cards :-)

BTW - I can't speak on behalf of the rest of the team, but I'm having trouble leaving comments on the blogs that require word verification.  For some reason it requires me to log in on an endless cycle but never actually posts my comments.  I just wanted you to know so that you don't think we're not looking at your beautiful cards!

Wouldn't it be nice to get a card with a great big ribbon telling you how wonderful you are?  Well that's the idea behind this Blue Ribbon challenge.  It doesn't actually have to be blue, but at least blue ribbon-inspired.

Day 119 - Feeling Punchy

Good morning and happy Monday!!

So we've got a change to our lineup starting today...

We must bid a fond farewell to Heidi Stock who is moving on from 365 Cards.  She rocked the Clean and Simple style for us, and she will be missed.  Best of luck to you, Heidi - and don't be a stranger!!

Sunday DTer Annie Ling is jumping in on Mondays!!

And she's up today with her take on this challenge, which is all about creating your own embellies using paper punches.

It's quite simple, grab those paper punches (just one will do), punch out a shape and dress it up (buttons, bling, glitter, whatever you can think of), and add the newly designed embellishment to your card.  You can make as many as you want, as long as you make at least one.

Don't have any hand held punches?  Any die cutting equipment will work for this.

Day 118 - Super Sketchy Sunday

The sun is shining, the birds are chirping and I'm in a great mood - how about you?

I'm also cleaning and packing, getting ready to board a plane for a little getaway in a couple of days.  I will, of course, be bringing my computer with me!

So it's Sunday, which means a sketch, and here it is...

Day 117 - Do That Decade

Sometimes it's fun to take a whole decade and think about the trends, music, clothing styles, etc., from that time period.  And that can inspire your card design.

The decade for this challenge?  The 1950's!

Here is what DoBea came up with

Love this - sentiment and all!  Everything is so beautifully placed on this card, don't you think?

So think about the 1950's and what grabs you from that time period and let it inspire your card...

Day 116 - So "fan"tastic

You know how you have your favorite tools, techniques, and embellies?  Well for this challenge you get to use them all on one card and show off those things you are fanatical about!

Here are the specifics:

Use one technique, one tool, and one embellishment that you are just crazy about on your card.

Of course you can use more than one of these things, but you must use at least one of each to count.

Jennifer loves her Copic markers (coloring an image as the technique), she just can't get enough of her Cuttlebug (the tool) and her favorite embellishments are pearls/rhinestones.

And here they all are together on one card

Such a fab card - and it just goes to show that when you use those things you love, a beautiful card is the result!

So now it's your turn to share those things you just can't do without...

Day 115 - Just Peach-y

Summer has officially arrived - even if the clouds over my head haven't gotten the memo that it's time for the sun to shine!

So I'm titling this challenge "Just Peach-y", which requires peach to be the dominant color, and let's give those cards a summery theme.

She definitely nailed it with a big peach right on the front!

But you don't need to actually have a peach, as long as the color itself plays a major roll on your card.  And I hope where you are at, the sun is shining and you get to play outside and enjoy some nice weather...

Day 114 - Fun With Fabric

Hey 365ers, I hope you don't mind, but I've been doing more of my posting in the morning instead of the night before.  Some days it just works better for me, but I just don't want you to wonder whether I'm posting each day.

Today I thought we'd have some fun with fabric.  I'm talking about doing more than just adding fabric to your card - let's see you use it in a specific way.  For instance, you can create curtains or fabric for clothing or furniture to go with a stamped image.

I would like to share Kim's gorgeous card, but for some reason Blogger is not allowing me to add a picture at this time.  However, you can see her example and read all about it on her post HERE.

Day 112 - Paper Pieced

Okay Clean & Simple fans, this one's for you!

Paper piece a single image from a rubber stamp or digi image, and if you wish, a simple sentiment can complete the card.

This would make a perfect thank you note for all the teachers and instructors in our lives!

Now, how intricate the image you want to use is up to you, as long as it is paper pieced :-)
