So today's challenge is called Imagine This: Wrinkled, because I want you to use the word "wrinkled" to inspire your card. 

My card features some pretty textured cardstock that looks fairly wrinkled to me

I made the the card in my usual Clean & Simple fashion, and you can see that cardstock through some patterned acrylic.

So anything goes for this challenge as long as it's inspired by the word WRINKLED.

Day 182 - Buttons and Bows

Good Monday Morning, 365ers!

Day 179 - Boy Meets Girl

Good Morning and Happy Friday!

It's the last day of my vacation (sniff, sniff) and we're heading home.  I'll be able to update Tuesday's post this evening, so be on the lookout for that update!

A big thank you to Sophia for jumping in on today's challenge while Jennifer is away on vacation.  So let's get started.

The challenge is called Boy Meets Girl, and here's why

Use girly papers and make a card for a little boy, or take paper suitable for a little boy and make a card for a girl.  It's that simple.

Day 178 - Buried Deep

And I'm talking about your stash here -- specifically all those things you have but have never opened before. 

And here's the challenge

Dig into your stash and crack open 2 items that you've never used before.  They can be old or they can be new, but they can't have been used.

To me, this is CAS perfection! 

Hannah says that the stickers are ones she bought on clearance long ago, and the rhinestones are from an unopened package that she's had for a while.  I think it's so great when we can dig deep into our stashes and make good use of something we've not ever used before.

Day 177 - Album Inspired

Today's challenge is a lot like an ad inspired challenge, except we're using an album to inspire our cards. 

I asked Kim to pick an album cover for us to use, and this is the one she chose

Such a fun and whimsical choice!  And here's her card

Gorgeous card - the buttons make for the perfect balloons!

So in the past there's been some confusion about whether you use the image we provide or your own.  In this case, we'd like you to use the one we provide.  So take the image of the album cover above and use it to inspire your beautiful creations...

The challenge for today is to use watercolor paints on your card, and to use a sanding technique -- "water and sand".

I get to share a card with you today, and here it is

I added watercolors to make a faux pom pom trim, and I sanded the background cardstock.

Don't have watercolors?  Any paint will do - just give this challenge a try...

Day 175 - Mixed Drinks

So I had this crazy idea for a challenge that would take a mixed drink of sorts and challenge you to use it to inspire your cards.  In this case I've chosen Strawberry Lemonade -- yummy, refreshing and perfect on a hot sunny day.

And don't feel that you have to include a beverage on your card (unless you want to), just let your creativity flow when you think of strawberry lemonade.

Day 173 - Vintage Plus Yellow

Last day of this super fun vintage themed week!

Day 172 - Vintage Plus Green

Well this has been a great with such wonderful cards already linked up!

I've enjoyed looking at all the DT examples with the variety of approached on the vintage theme.  They've done a wonderful job demonstrating the many different ways you can do vintage.

Welcome to another day of vintage plus a dominant color!

Today I get to share another card with you, and the dominant color is black.

As you can see, I had some G45 stuff in my stash that I included in my card.

For those of you who are like me, and vintage is not your go-to style, you might find (like I did!) it is do-able and kind of fun to try something different.

Day 168 - Vintage Plus Red

All week long we'll have vintage-themed challenges, which means we want to see cards with a vintage feel.  But of course we need to be more specific each day, so that's where some color comes in.  Each day you need to make the color listed in the title the dominant color on your card.

Well done, Annie - this card is absolutely beautiful in its simplicity!

Don't panic if vintage isn't really your thing.  Do the best you can with what you have to create a card with a vintage feel.

Day 165 - Team Colors

This one is a color scheme challenge, but it's designed by you!

Are you a sports fanatic?  If so, use your fave team's colors as your color scheme?  Not so much a fan of sports?  No problem, because there is likely someone in your life who has a favorite team, so use those to inspire your card.

And it's festive, too!  This is how I'd like to celebrate my team's big win :-)

Day 164 - In the Garden

So I don't technically have a garden, but I do have several pots filled with herbs, and I started thinking about how beautiful it is to have something I've grown myself to enjoy every day.  And that's where this challenge came from...

Use your garden to inspire your card.  Don't have a garden?  Is there one that you just love or remember from your childhood?  The important thing is that there is a garden somewhere that has inspired the design on your card.

Day 163 - Setting the Scene

These are fun challenges - well, at least for me when it comes to seeing what you all create for them!

This challenge is to "set the scene", specifically an underwater scene.

And as always, Kim did an amazing job creating her card

And now for today's challenge.

It's called "At Odds" because the goal is to place an odd number of decorations (including the sentiment) on your card.

I must say this was a challenge for me, so I kept it simple. 

I've got my cupcake, the scalloped trim and the sentiment.  It seems everytime I wanted to add something, I realized I'd have to add something else to make it an odd number.

Remember, each embellishment counts towards the total, no matter how small, so you need to keep it "at odds"...

Day 161 - My Beautiful Balloon

Today's challenge is to create a balloon on your card - but not just any balloon...

Create at least one balloon on your card using an item or object that wasn't originally intended to be a balloon.
