Day 153 - Comfort Zone

What is your comfort zone?  It might vary a little depending on the situation you're in, but I'm sure that some images are already popping in your head.

And that's good, because you'll need to come up with an image and/or sentiment that reflects what fits into your comfort zone.

Day 152 - Olympic Rings

I don't know about you, but I LOVE watching the Olympic games.

So many nations coming together in this wonderful tradition.

So that's what I want to inspire you for this challenge.

I call it "Olympic Rings" but that doesn't mean you have to put rings on your card.  But the symbol should inspire your design in some way.

Erin really created a fantastic card for this challenge.

Isn't that wonderful?  She's got it there right down to the sentiment!

If you're watching the games like so many of us are, then maybe take a break and create a card in honor of the occasion.

Day 150 - I've Been Framed

Let's have some fun with frames today!

Create a frame for your card, but not just any frame...

This one should have lots of embellishment in two corners.  You can use anything you want, but let's get fancy with it.

We're not getting too strict with this one, but we do want to see a frame with embellishments in to corners.

Day 149 - Color Scheme

I have to say, I find color challeges to be among the hardest out there.  And Jennifer definitely delivers a great card each and every week!

How do you feel about color challenges?  I like to look for the color scheme in my stash of patterned papers, and sometimes I actually find a paper that fits the scheme.

Day 148 - Mondrian

Many challenges ago we had one that paid tribute to the artist Piet Mondrian.  It was such fun I thought we'd revisit the challenge since have so many new card makers joining us since then.

So, all you have to do is use his style to inspire your card.

Day 147 - Playing the Odds

The purpose of this challenge is to create a card that has an odd number of each type of element.

You can use as little or as much as you want of anything, as long as it adds up to an odd number.

Here's my example

So let's see....

1 digi image

5 punches (one big circle plus 4 corner punches)

1 piece of patterned paper

5 pearls

1 rhinestone

1 sticker

1 sentiment

Okay, so technically the sentiment is a sticker, but I gave myself a little freedom with that one.

Do your best and see if you can keep each design element to an odd number on your card.  And give us the details when you link it up.

Today's challenge is all about shapes.

We want to see three shapes - any three different shapes - on your card.

Day 145 - Overlapped

I'm up today with my take on a challenge called "Overlapped"

That means that we want to see every element on your card overlapping at least one other item on the card.

This was definitely a challenge for me, but I managed it :)

And I got to use this fabbie image from My Heart Pieces.  Although it's difficult to see in this photo, I outlined the image with a glitter pen to give it a little sparkle.

You can use any theme and any design elements you wish, as long as every component overlaps another component.

Day 141 - Delicate

Here's a simple, yet possibly "challenging" challenge...

Using something 'Delicate' on your card.

How you interpret that is entirely up to you.

The top card is meant to be more feminine, and both use an image of something delicate.

Day 140 - Layered Stamps

This challenge is all about layering stamps, specifically background stamps.  You can layer as many as you like, and if you don't have background stamps, you can use any type of stamp.

I kept this one pretty simple.

Can ya tell which stamp I inked up first?  I think they blend pretty well, what do you think?

Grab a couple of stamps and layer them up...

Day 136 - Roll the Dice

This one should be left up to chance.

Roll a pair of dice, and whatever number pops up is the number of embellies you can add to your card.

That doesn't not include patterned paper, stamps or sentiments.  Things like buttons, ribbon, bling, etc. are what counts.

Day 134 - Fun With Food

Can your food talk? Does it have a great big smile? There are so many images, stamps, and patterned paper depicting food that appears alive, animated, or just too cute for words. Find an image of food that fits this idea and share it on your card.

What is it about mason jars?  I just love 'em and they are fabulous on these cards!!

Don't worry if you don't think you have just the right thing.  Work with what you and have some fun with food on your card.

Day 133 - Misty

Have you had the pleasure of playing around with mists yet?  It's never too late, and they enhance any paper craft project beautifully.

The question is, do you need to go out and spend money to create this effect?  Absolutely not, although that's definitely a good way to go.

If you don't own a mist, not to worry.  Just get creative with what you do have or pop online and punch in a search for creating your own mists. 

I used a pair of shimmery mists to create a beautiful background for my card.

Day 131 - Keep it Simple: 3-2-1

This challenge is as easy as 1-2-3, or actually 3-2-1, as in

3 Embellishments, 2 Patterned Papers, and 1 Stamp

If the stamp you choose isn't a sentiment stamp, then you may also add a separate sentiment.
