Day 273 - Wednesday Challenge in Reverse

Hey 365ers!  I'm afraid I was unable to do my usual post for today for personal reasons (Not to worry, all is well!).  For those who like to play along everyday and were especially disappointed not to find a challenge posted yet, I have good news.

 

Link up a card with us that you are really proud of -- any card will do.  If you've never linked up a card with us, please do -- we love to see what you are up to in bloggy land and this particular card does not to be inspired by a 365 Cards challenge.

I think it's time to shake things up a bit around here and try something new.  So I challenged the Weekly DT to create a card for me to use to design a challenge each day this week.

Day 269 - Imagine This: Sassy

Day 267 - Button Up

HAPPY THANSGIVING to all our bloggy friends in the U.S.A.!

This challenge is all about creating a frame on your card using buttons.

 

There is not just one way to do this, so you can get creative with it.

 

Here's Michelle's example to get you started

 

 

I love this mix of buttons she chose!

 

You can use a lot or a little, but you must use buttons to frame some aspect of your card.

{On a side note: I accidentally posted Michelle's card a day early - oops!  I just renamed it Day 267 and you can find Yvonne's card under Day 266 now.  My apologies - I think I have turkey and pumpkin pie on the brain}

For this fun challenge, all we're looking for is an image with a

Audrey is up today with her take on a challenge that's all about a specific texture.  I chose the word "SHAGGY" to describe it.  You can design a card that incorporates a shaggy element, but how you interpret that may be quite different from the way another person interprets that.  Hence the fun of such a challenge!

Day 264 - Ravishing Ribbon

For this challenge, we're looking for bold, beautiful, shiny, gorgeous ribbon.  Well, it must at least fit the description of "ravishing".

I kept the design simple to make the ribbon the main attraction.  But you can do this any way you want, as long as it includes a ravishing piece of ribbon.

Day 262 - Stampin' Saturday

Happy Birthday to our Thursday designer MICHELLE!!!

And also, I'm so very sorry to have forgotten JENNIFER'S birthday last weekend.  So Happy Belated Birthday wishes for her!

 

Today's challenge is this

 

Stamp a background on your card that uses 2 different stamps in 4 different colors.

Day 261 - Color Scheme

So here I am with my take on another Color Scheme challenge, and I must say I had a tough time with this one.

I think this one is beautiful, but the colors just didn't appear quite this way on my card.

 

 

I don't know... epic fail?  I'm happy with the card and I love the color scheme that I was presented with, but I'm not sure if I hit the mark.

 

Let's see if you can come closer than I did...

Day 260 - All That Glitters

...IS Gold - at least for this challenge.

Sort of ;-)

You need to make gold a dominant color on your card, and add something glittery to it.

That is all.

Day 259 - Wordy

For this challenge, we want to see you create a "wordy" background any way you like.  It can be done with stamps, patterned paper, stickers or anything you can think of.

Wow, this is terrific!  It totally fits the challenge and creates a neat effect.

 

You can get really creative with this one, and it'll be fun to see what you come up with.

Day 258 - Inkalicious

I don't believe that's actually a word, but it sounded like a fun title for a challenge!

Use the same stamp in at least 3 different shades of ink.

You can do this any way you'd like, with any theme, but you must use one stamp with at least three different shades of ink.

 

Day 257 - Blank Slate

For today's challenge, you need to create a card that is open-ended.  It needs to be versatile with no distinctive theme so that it is ready to go for any occasion.  This also means no sentiment.

Day 255 - Setting the Scene

Happy Saturday!

 

Today's challenge is to "set the scene" by creating an indoor scene.  The one requirement is that you must use at least ONE STAMP.

 

The theme is entirely up to you.

Whatever theme you decide on, be sure to set the scene keeping it indoors with at least one stamp.

This particular group of colors was definitely a challenge for me!  I'm pleased with how it turned out, though.

Day 253 - Thrift Thursday

We all like to save a little money, right?  And despite the fact that I am personally tempted (quite often, I'm afraid!) to buy, buy, buy at the craft store, I like to sort through my stash and pull out some old favorites.

 

Today's challenge is all about saving money and using what you have.  So on this card, we're looking for two specific items:

 

1) Something you got an amazing deal on

 

and

 

2) Something you have had in your stash for at least a year

 

Otherwise, anything else goes.

This is a great excuse to sort through what you already have and you just might be surprised with what you find.
